As you can imagine, and as I’ve been taking photos for 40+ years, a knowledge of the law regarding where and when I can and cannot, take photographs is a must for me… The question of where and when a ‘Not for Profit‘ Amateur/Hobbyist photographer, like myself, can take photographic images is very clear in law….

In a ‘nutshell’… An individual cannot expect privacy in a public place. No one has the right to restrict, confiscate equipment or delete images taken by a photographer, in that public place.

A letter from the the Association of Chief Police Officers re-enforces this statement….
