Penrhyn Castle (National Trust)

The lost garden of Llandygai

On one of our regular weekends away, we went to Anglesey, and stayed at our usual hotel in Holyhead… ‘The Boathouse Hotel‘, on one of the days, we visited some of the gardens of the National Trust (which we are members). The first was Bodnant Gardens

Although the light levels in the morning weren’t the best for infrared photography, it did improve over the day… Our second stop of the day, was to visit the gardens and parklands of Penrhyn Castle, another National Trust Estate…

To round off the day before we went back to the hotel, for fish & chips, and a few drinks, before bed, we visited Llandygai, a small village in the Bangor area of Wales, to try and find the valley, and ancient church… and find it we did.
