Dovecot, as a Liverpool Corporation Housing Estate, was conceived in the 1930’s, and established families, moving from the city centre, or married couples wanting a new council house, where given one for rent, these sturdy built properties, in a modern area with  a super set of amenities, including, shops, post office, parks, churches, recreational facilities ect… were much sought after, at the time.

One of the most popular posts on my blog is ‘The Roads of my Youth‘ and its comments thread, is quite large and added to frequently… However, this is quite restrictive… So I thought I would open a closed group, on Facebook.
