The Snaefell Tram at Laxey

On one of our days in the Isle of Man, this year, we decided to go to the top of Snaefell, the highest point on the Island. So after waking at our hotel, and checking the visibility levels… we set off after breakfast for our usual Costa coffee, at the port, before catching a number 3 bus from Douglas to Laxey. After alighting, we made to short walk to Laxey Station, and waited on the next Electric Tram, to take us on the 40 minute journey to the summit of the mountain…

Although the weather was fine… for viewing, the summit was very windy, this of course was not noticed at the Laxey Station, where it was an extremely hot day…
