My-IR gear

I’m often asked what equipment I use to get the images I produce… the truth is, I run with with a number of cameras, each one produces a different effect, to that of the others in the ‘box’.

I have digital SLR’s, both in the ‘visible‘ spectrum (normal cameras)… and the ‘near infrared‘ spectrum. However, most of my modified cameras are mirror-less, for ease of use and composition.

I convert my own cameras to Infrared/full spectrum, but occasionally I will ‘buy in’ if I know and trust the individual who has performed the conversion, or if I am after a specific sensor make/type.

I own an array of lenses, to suit my needs, but all must be compatible with infrared and checked on certain websites (see links page) to eradicate ‘hot spotting’. I also have a large amount of threaded filters, which help me obtain the effect I want to capture, according to the available light. The filters I use, range from UV Black (sub 400nm) to 1000nm.

All technical information is explained fully, in my Infrared ‘Talks
