The Castle @ 590nm

Well what can we say ? It was the adverts on the T.V. that did it… A range of hotels, for the over 50’s… lol. No KID’s… sounded like just the ticket, from a hectic terms teaching.

We picked Bodelwyddan Castle, simply because it was local (relatively speaking), we had passed it many times on the way to Anglesey, not far from the Marble Cathedral, and just off the A5 bypass…. what more could we want…. so we booked for 4 days (3 nights)

Got to say… a lovely few days it was, you could quite happily stay and go nowhere else… loads of planned activities, a pool, bars, coffee area, gardens, restaurants, live entertainment and so much more… However, got to say we missed travelling about and exploring places of interest…

I can here you saying… “what was stopping you?“… and I’ve got to reply “The price”… The whole hotel experience package costs that much with all the extras, it seemed a waste to leave the place… If we were using a ‘base’ it would have been a lot less expensive, in a standard hotel… But at least, now we know… and we’ll put it aside until we really are older… then it will fit the bill exactly. But stunning to say the least, with first class facilities…
