Over Water

Well…. what can I say about day 2???… but, it rained… and boy did it rain !!!  We got up this morning and the rain was bouncing… At breakfast in the Hotel Conservatory, the rain was bouncing off the glass roof… and this lasted for the morning, so we decided to visit Grasmere, on the hope that by the time we had driven there, the clouds might have parted, and let some sun threw…

Sadly, this was not to be… we parked up and got out the car, and walked to the village in our raincoats, looking for a cafe in the rain, which didn’t have a queue out of the door… we eventually found one… just as the rain got even heavier…lol. There was only one girl serving, and so Ann was a good 25 mins waiting in the queue, not long after we decided the rain really was ‘on for the day‘.

We took another drive, and ended up at our hotel, just as the rain stopped and a bit of ‘blue’ sky appeared, so we decided to get changed and take a short drive to Over Water… a lake not for from the hotel, to enjoy what was left of the day… before heading back for our evening meal… here are some images of the visit…
