The 5* Hotel Grand President / Sorrento

Well… we loved Sorrento, that much last year.. that we booked and returned again THIS year. Our usual holidays, in the likes of Venice, see’s us walking for miles each day, visiting sights in and around the city… However, we find that Sorrento is one of those ‘chill-out’ venues… we booked the same hotel as last year, on the cliff’s above the town… I would liken it to a Cruise Ship, which never moves, with its bedrooms on the lower floors, and its restaurant, bar, sun decks, and pool on the upper decks… all with superb views across the town, and the bay of Naples… and on to Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii…

After visiting parts of the town, and having a light lunch in the morning… it was so pleasant, to catch our hotel shuttle bus back and forth from the hotel, and find ourselves in the hotel bar of an afternoon… with me sampling the local beers, and Ann with a local white wine… and both of us enjoying a bowl of olives and nibbles…. bliss…

 

Such a pleasant way to relax and enjoy the view…
