Filming at Marina Grande

Steps down to Marina Grande

It was another glorious day, for another visit to Marina Grade and its great marina seafood eating so after breakfast, and a relax… we caught the hotel relay bus… down to the old town, and went to the ‘foreigners’ bar for a coffee, and a great view over the bay… Then after doing a bit of souvenir shopping, decided to have a light lunch at the marina once again… on the way down the steps, and before the bottom, we were stopped by a guy… wondering what was happening, another couple translated the instructions given to us, and we were told that a company was filming for a ‘short’ film for an Italian film festival.

There were film crew all over the marina, as well as policemen and crew, all needing to be fed and watered at appropriate times during the day… This made me feel hungry… and so I persuaded Ann that this would be a good time for a re-run of a few days ago… so we went to the same restaurant we had visited a few days before… and sat for lunch.

Our Starter

Ann and I both had the Tomato Pasta to start… however, Ann had her starter when I had my main… I then had the ‘fried’ Fish platter, which I had saw a guy order previously, only to leave most of it… obviously not a true seafood master…lol

The fried fish platter…

Not a lot left…

All eased down by a delicious litre of the house wine which I had tried on the last occasion… it tasted just as good… at the end of the meal… the owners gave us a complementary glass of limoncello each… got to say… the smallest glasses, I’VE ever seen…lol
