Last day in Sorrento

Morning Coffee

On the last day of our Sorrento holiday.. we decided to have an easy day down at the main Marina (Porto) area, so we walked to a local park with views across the Bay of Naples, and sat a while before heading down in the Marina lift… we were’ hearded‘ into one of the quayside cafe’s… only to be persuaded into having a large morning coffee and an overpriced bottle of water… I felt a bit ripped off at over 20 euros… not to mention the amount of coffee in the cups, made us feel rather queasy… lol.

We walked back to the lift… and made our way back up to the park… to sit for a while on this hot day… and with my new Lumix TZ90 in hand… started to shoot the lizards in the park. A big male had a vantage spot high up in one of the palms… and upon seeing a female… would bolt down the trunk, and entice her under a lamppost… romantic sod !!!

In the evening… like most evenings during the holiday we would retire to the bar each evening after our evening meal, and meet up with a great couple Paul & Rachael… to tell each other our stories and travels of the day…

After the bar… we would retire to our room patio area, and open up a bottle of Limoncello… it always amazes me me how quickly the alcohol evaporates in the bottle once its opened…lol. anyway… its great to see the Geckos hunting on the walls of the patio…
