Close-up is always a bit of fun…

When I was out, doing a bit of Social History photography in Huyton today, I came across this little critter on the Alt-walk path, from Pagemoss to Huyton. After a quick camera change to suit the situation, and getting down and dirty so to speak, I managed to get this shot of a ‘Rove Beetle’ (Staphylinidae). Aint seen a Rove Beetle for ages. The common name for this beetle is the Devil’s Coach Horse…
