‘Moro’ arrives

Moro….

And so today… Myself, Ann and Cath… jumped into the car, for 10:00.am… and we made our way over to Cheshire, to pick up our what seems like ages… to pick up the newest member of our Family… a beautiful all black ‘Patterdale Terrier’ puppy…. who we have named ‘Moro’…. meaning ‘Black Bean’.

We arrived at the owners of the litter (RH & family) and found the entire litter of eight, all out on the large lawn, with there equally lovely standard all black Dam… ‘Dolly’, we spent about 30 minutes with the family, before exchanging documents etc… and aware that another pup was about to leave as well so we went before the next pick-up was due…

Luckily the whole round trip only took us 2 hours… and we arrived home at 12:00.pm… Moro’s first stop was the garden, and although a little nervous at first… made her way around… exploring her new surroundings…

First steps in the garden

Such a lot of things to explore…

A little rest before lunch

Ann gets to meet Moro

Cath had ordered a special dry-food supplement from the web,  which the Dam’s owener was feeding the litter on, so as to give Moro consistency in her feeding type and routine… and when we made up her first meal with us… as instructed… Moro was right on it…

Moro’s first meal with us…

After another explore around the garden, Moro decided it was time for a sleep… and so after she climbed up on us all… plainly to see who gave the warmest ‘fuzziest’ spot… she decided our Cath was the sweet spot… and so curled up for a well earned sleep…

Another explore

Cath is the fuzziest spot…

After waking and a few more explorations, and playing with her new toys… her confidence seemed to come on leaps and bounds… LITERALLY… as she is now running, around the garden…. leaping through doorways, and in one bound.. finding her way onto laps for hug… or the conservatory couch…. for a snuggle against whoever if on it….

So cute…..

  1. Awe she is beautiful. If you have trouble with her settling in the night a little clock in the bed does the trick apparently puppy with think it’s mums heartbeat? It did work with my little yorkie scruff when he first came to live with us 🙂
